Originally started as the MAST (MArine Skills Training) Career Fair in 2010, EYC Foundation’s Marine & Maritime Career Expo was conceived with the goal of inspiring and helping high school students discover and pursue careers in the industry. The event connects local 10th, 11th and 12th graders with marine and maritime service and retail companies, trade schools, higher education institutions, military and government organizations.

In cooperation with Anne Arundel County Public Schools, the annual event originally took place at a local high school. In 2023 the event was greatly enhanced by moving to Bert Jabin Yacht Yard in Annapolis where students had the added benefit of experiencing a working boatyard and connecting with the many on-site marine support businesses. Three students walked away with summer job offers!
